Today’s planetary signature was an invitation to push the pause button on workaday responsibilities (Sun in Virgo), throw caution to the wind (square to Mars in Sagittarius trine Uranus in Aries) and escape for a few hours (Full Moon in Pisces). In my case it was for a walk and picnic by the Bay with a friend.
Sometimes all we need is to shake up the routine, make space for re-creation, exercise our wholeness, get the creative juices flowing, gain some perspective.
Gazing out over the Bay, seeing a sailboat separate off from a host of others, reminded me of the times in my life when I’ve made a decision to veer off course, leaving behind the familiar clutch of those content in their togetherness closer to shore. Being in a solitary vessel bobbing towards heaven-only-knows-where is at once exhilarating and disconcerting.
There’s a certain preparedness required when one leaves something behind, at least an acknowledgment of the need for a course correction to learn or experience something more.
For me, this time spent in nature was as good as any therapy session. Today, for just a little while, I had it all.
The earth, the air, the fire, the water…
Now for that course correction.
