Chiron has Oscar in hand

The wounding and exclusion of people of color so long at play in the Neptunian industry of film making came into exaggerated focus last night, and Chiron had the final word.

Scheduled on a solar eclipse in Pisces, how could we not expect the Wounded Healer to be included in the Academy Awards? After all, Chiron was leading a stellium of celestial bodies in Pisces right up that infamous red carpet. But three generations! It doesn’t get better than this!

The Oscar for best film went to Moonlight, based on Alvin McCraney’s play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue. Set in the slums of Miami, it’s the heartbreaking story of Chiron, a black child as he grows into his teens and onto adulthood.

In its choice for best picture, The Academy symbolically eclipsed its history of #OscarSoWhite, redeeming itself and acknowledging that relevance in the 21st century means exclusion must be left in the past.

That would be a most healing eclipse experience.
